Paris is, next to my lovely home in the Netherlands, close to my family and relatives, 'mon lieu de bonheur' (happy place)!

At least four times a year I visit this city, together with my husband (who is just such a fan) and we enjoy the Parisian life.

We regularly book a little apartment (yes - because they are really small ;-) in one of our favorite neighborhoods including Quartier Latin (with Rue Mouffetard), Montmartre or Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

What could be better than strolling through this amazing city!

The 'water lilies' of Monet can be seen in the musee l'orangerie ...

With every visit I am amazed by the beautiful museums, the architecture, the great parks, the beautiful large boulevards or the small cozy streets with the many terraces.

You have to experience Paris. There is a magical atmosphere in the air. And once you are 'captivated' by it, you will want to come back again and again!

Parisians meet in the many cafes and on the terraces. I love to sit there and enjoy the beautiful conversations in French and the interaction between the people. And of course get inspired by looking at the beautifully, elegantly dressed French women with their je-ne-sais-quoi look.

Of course we fully enjoy the delicious food and the great cakes that are available at the many patisseries in Paris. And how about a delicious petit dejeuner with a chocolat chaud, des oeufs (eggs) and a real French croissant!

We always enjoy a walk along the Seine, the view of the Eiffel Tower and a nice rest on such a typical green chair in the Parc du luxembourg with its beautiful and impressive fontaine de medicis and small wooden sailing boats that the Parisian children let sail in the big pond. Or watch the art painters on Place du Tertre, near the Sacre Coeur, from the terrace.
